Abstract:
This operating unit for a shielding device uses a ball chain as an operating cord and can achieve smooth operation. Provided is an operating unit for a shielding device having a shielding material, wherein: an operating pulley, an operating cord, and a cord guide are provided; the operating pulley, by rotating, operates the shielding material; the operating cord is formed of a ball chain, is hung on the operating pulley, and is pulled out toward the front of the shielding device; the cord guide includes a guide surface that guides a lower portion of the operating cord; and in the guide surface, a concave section is formed in a width direction that is perpendicular to the direction in which the operating cord is pulled out.
