The present invention provides an operation apparatus that is capable of facilitating labor reduction by eliminating the need to separately provide a shock mitigating functional component, that allows for reducing the number of components, and does not contribute to increasing device size. For this purpose, the operation apparatus comprises: a moveable iron core that drives a drive shaft for operating a moveable-side electrode that is disposed facing and electrically contacting a fixed-side electrode; and a coil disposed surrounding the moveable iron core, the drive shaft and the moveable iron core integrally operating along with the opening/closing operation of the moveable-side electrode with respect to the fixed-side electrode. The operation apparatus is characterized in that: the drive shaft is slide-supported by a first bearing on the moveable-side electrode side, and on the side opposite the moveable-side electrode side, the moveable iron core is slide-supported by a second bearing; a stopper plate for stopping axial-direction movement at the end on the side opposite the moveable-side electrode side of the moveable iron core is provided; and if the moveable-side electrode and the fixed-side electrode are in the entered (closed) state, a space surrounded by the moveable iron core, the second bearing, and the stopper plate is formed.
