An operation assistance device 10 is provided with: an image data acquisition unit 11 for acquiring image data of an apparatus; an inquiry reception unit 12 for receiving an inquiry concerning an operation of the apparatus; an apparatus identification unit 13 for identifying an apparatus included in an image on the basis of the acquired image data; a matching information extraction unit 14 for extracting from the information concerning the identified apparatus information matching the received inquiry; and an information display control unit 15 for causing the extracted information to be displayed on a screen.
