Abstract:

This operation device comprises a movable part, a vibration generating part, a fixing part, a detection unit, and a control unit. The vibration generating part includes a movable yoke that is attached to the movable part, a fixed yoke that is attached to the fixing part and that is disposed so as to be opposed, in a first direction, to the movable yoke, a permanent magnet that is attached to either one of the movable yoke and the fixed yoke and that is magnetized such that both ends thereof in the first direction have different magnetic poles, and an excitation coil that is attached to the other of the movable yoke and the fixed yoke and that generates a magnetic flux by a current flowing therethrough. In the initial state where no current is flowing through the excitation coil, the magnetic attraction force of the permanent magnet urges the movable yoke, in the first direction, toward the fixed yoke, and a first elastic support portion is compressed between the movable part and the fixing part. When current flows through the excitation coil, a repulsive force acts between the movable yoke and the fixed yoke.
