Provided is an operation device which can illuminate the peripheral wall of an operation knob in the circumferential direction by a simple structure. The operation device is provided with an operation knob (30) having a substantially cylindrical peripheral wall (31) centered about an axis (L), wherein a portion (32) to be illuminated is disposed in the circumferential direction of the peripheral wall (31), said operation knob rotating about the axis (L); an illumination light source (40) which is disposed on the axis (L) of the operation knob (30), to emit light forward; and a reflection member (20). A reflection surface (24a) is comprised of the portion of the surface of the reflection member (20), which is disposed on the inside of the operation knob (30). The reflection surface (24a) is shaped so as to circumferentially extend around the axis (L) of the operation knob (30), and the diameter of the reflection surface gradually increases in the forward direction so that the light emitted forward from the illumination light source (40) is reflected by the reflection surface (24a) toward the portion (32) to be illuminated.
