Abstract:
Provided is an operation feel imparting type input device capable of imparting a suitable resistive feel and pulling feel to a rotating body, while preventing the rotating body from generating a catching feel when the rotating body is caused to transition from an end stop state. An operation feel imparting type input device 100 is provided with: a securing portion 9; a rotating body 10 rotatably supported by the securing portion 9; a rotatable operation knob 17 secured to the rotating body 10; a rotation angle detection portion 20 which detects the rotation angle of the rotating body 10; a braking application portion 40 which applies a braking force to the rotating body 10; a torque application portion 30 which applies torque to the rotating body 10; and a control unit which controls the braking application portion 40 and the torque application portion 30. This operation feel imparting type input device 100 is further provided with an operation torque detection portion 70 which detects the magnitude of the operation torque being applied to the rotating body 10, wherein when the rotating body 10 is rotated away from an end stop, the brake is released in accordance with the magnitude of the operation torque.
