Abstract:
Provided is an operation input device (2) for inputting operation commands to a manipulator (3) that performs observation or treatment of a lesion. The operation input device (2) is provided with a grip (25) to be grasped by a hand of an operator (O) and an arm section (22) for movably supporting said grip (25). Said arm section (22) is provided with at least two link members and at least one joint (J1, J2, J3) for connecting a pair of adjacent link members so as to be able to swing around a joint axis that intersects with the longitudinal axes of the link members. Each of said joints (J1, J2, J3) is provided with a sensor for detecting the relative angular displacement between the respective connected link members and a friction-generating part for generating a frictional torque in the direction opposite to the direction in which torque is applied.
