Abstract:
Disclosed is an operation input device provided with: a base section of a non-magnetic body; a first magnetic body which is arranged in the base section; a second magnetic body which is arranged opposite the first magnetic body with the base section positioned therebetween, and which generates a magnetic force in the gap between the base section of the first magnetic body and the opposing position, causing the first magnetic body to come into contact with the base section; an operation unit in which an operation input acting in the same direction as the magnetic force causes the position opposite the action point side of the operation input to tilt together with the first magnetic body toward the center of the aforementioned opposing position with the position in contact with the base section serving as the fulcrum for said tilting; and a detection unit which detects the tilting of the operation unit.
