An operation input device wherein a support section (20) displaceably supports an operation section (30) relative to a base section (10), and a reaction force generation section generates a reaction force in the same axial direction as the displacement direction in accordance with the displacement of the operation section. The support section comprises: a support member (22), one end of which is connected to the base section, and the other end of which protrudes from the base section; and a plurality of plate springs (24) at the other end of the support member. Plate surfaces of the plate springs orthogonally intersect the protrusion direction central axis of the support member, the plate springs are provided in a radial fashion around the protrusion direction central axis, and the radial direction distal ends of the plate springs are connected to the operation section. A reaction force generation means section comprises: electromagnets (42, 44) which are provided to the base section or the operation section and generate magnetic force in the axial direction parallel to the central axis of the support member; and magnetic members (46, 48), which are provided at positions opposing the electromagnets of the operation section or the base section, receive the magnetic force generated by the electromagnets and impart a reaction force to the operation section.
