Abstract:
An operation method of a mobile robot according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a step for receiving an input of a guidance destination; a step for generating a global path to the received guidance destination; a step for detecting and tracking an obstacle; a step for detecting and tracking a guidance target; a step for generating an avoidance path for avoiding the obstacle being tracked when the guidance target is detected within a threshold distance; a step for calculating travel speed on the basis of the distance to the guidance target and the obstacle being tracked; and a step for traveling on the basis of the avoidance path and the calculated movement speed. Thus, the operation method can be used to escort the guidance target conveniently to the destination.
