Abstract:

An operation system (10) for a home electric appliance (12) has a router (26) to connect to the Internet, a mobile terminal (16) to send an operation signal for operating the home electric appliance (12), a communication device (14) for receiving the operation signal that is connected to the home electric appliance (12), and a relay (18) connected to the router (26) to relay communications between the communication device (14) and the mobile terminal (16). The mobile terminal (16) and the relay (18) are configured so that a first communication can be executed between the mobile terminal (16) and the relay (18) via only the router (26) and a second communication can be executed between the mobile terminal (16) and the relay (18) via the Internet (20) and the router (26). The mobile terminal (16) is configured so that a user can select, via the mobile terminal (16), between the first communication and the second communication.
