Abstract:
Disclosed is an operation vehicle provided with a forward/reverse travel switching lever (16) capable of being swingably operated about a swing center (Z) which is taken at a position inward from the outer circumference of a steering wheel (14) and outward from the rotation shaft center (X2) in the lateral direction of a vehicle body, as seen in a direction along the rotation shaft center (X2) of the steering wheel (14); and a swing spindle (21) which supports the forward/reverse travel switching lever (16) in such a way as to permit the same to be swingably operated at a position lower than the steering wheel (14) and in such a way that the swing end (28) of the forward/reverse travel switching lever (16) protrudes laterally outward from the outer circumference of the steering wheel (14), as seen in a direction along the rotation shaft center (X2). The swing center (Z) is set at a position forward of the rotation shaft center (X2) in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, as seen in a direction along the rotation shaft center (X2), so that in case the forward/reverse travel switching lever (16) is swing-operated to the reverse travel position, the amount of protrusion of the swing end (28) from the outer circumference of the steering wheel (14) will be smaller than the amount of protrusion of the swing end (28) at the time when the forward/reverse travel switching lever (16) is swing-operated to the forward travel position, as seen in a direction along the rotation shaft center (X2).
