Title:
OPERATIONAL AMPLIFIER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/087980
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an operational amplifier capable of operating without generating a region in which a circuit does not operate and reducing the gain of the circuit even when operating voltage is decreased.
High-pass filters (102-105) bias and set input nodes of differential amplifiers (Gm1-Gm4) to potentials within a common mode range in which the respective differential amplifiers (Gm1-Gm4) become operable by the output signals thereof. Consequently, it becomes possible to effectively operate the respective differential amplifiers (Gm1-Gm4) even when the power supply voltage has decreased, and a normal amplification operation becomes possible. Further, no reduction in gain due to a decrease in operating voltage occurs. Accordingly, the use thereof for the purpose of mounting a digital circuit and an analog circuit in a mixed manner on the same integrated circuit chip is suitable. When high-pass filters are required on the respective input sides of differential amplifiers of two or more stages, a phase compensation method by a plurality of paths is provided to low frequencies of a phase margin generated on the low-frequency side, thereby enabling a normal amplitude operation.
