Abstract:
[Problem] To highly reliably supply excitation lights having differing distribution ratios to a plurality of fiber optic amplifiers. [Solution] The present invention has a plurality of fiber optic amplifiers (101, 112), and an asymmetric multiplexing optical system (100) which receives the input of a plurality of excitation lights (P1, P2) and which outputs a plurality of branched excitation lights (P12_C, P12_D) that are respectively supplied to the plurality of fiber optic amplifiers, wherein the asymmetric multiplexing optical system includes at least one two-input, two-output asymmetric multiplexer (100) that has an asymmetric branching ratio, and a desired intensity differential is set among the plurality of branching excitation lights by adjusting the intensity of at least one input light in the asymmetric multiplexer.
