Abstract:
This optical amplification device (100) is for a multi-directional path optical transmission system and is provided with: an optical amplifier group configured from a plurality of optical amplifiers (13); an excitation light source (11); and an optical coupler group provided between the optical amplifier group and the excitation light source (11) and configured from a plurality of optical couplers (12). A linear region is used in amplification in each of the plurality of optical amplifiers (13), and each of the optical couplers (12) is a fixed branching ratio-type optical coupler.
