Abstract:
The present invention realizes an optical arithmetic device capable of performing more various optical arithmetic operations than conventional optical arithmetic devices. An optical arithmetic device (1) comprises: an image sensor (12ai) that includes a plurality of light receiving cells; an optical modulation element (11ai) that includes a plurality of cells in which phase modulation amounts can be set independently of each other; an optical branch element (13ai) that causes signal light to branch into monitor signal light which enters the image sensor (12ai) and arithmetic signal light which enters the optical modulation element (11ai); and a control unit (14) that sets the phase modulation amount of the cells in the optical modulation element (11ai) in accordance with the intensity of the monitor signal light detected at the light receiving cells in the image sensor (12ai) corresponding to said cells.
