Abstract:
An optical axis control device (100) comprises: a first acceleration detection unit (32) for detecting a first acceleration (Gv) in the travel direction of a vehicle (1) on the basis of the velocity (V) of the vehicle; a second acceleration detection unit (33) for detecting a second acceleration (Gx, Gz) in the direction corresponding to the optical axis of a headlight (4) using an acceleration sensor (3) provided to a driven part (5) of the headlight (4) of the vehicle (1); a parallelism determination unit (41) for determining the parallel state of the optical axis with respect to a road surface when the ratio (Rxv) between the amount of change (ΔGx) of the second acceleration (Gx) and the amount of change (ΔGv) of the first acceleration (Gv) attains a value corresponding to a prescribed variation point (EP); and an optical axis control unit (39) for controlling the optical axis on the basis of an optical axis control quantity when it has been determined that the optical axis is in a parallel state with respect to the road surface.
