Abstract:
An optical axis control device (100) comprising: an optical axis control unit (12) which, while a vehicle (1) is stationary, calculates the pitching angle using the output value of an acceleration sensor (4) provided on the vehicle (1), and controls the optical axis angle of headlights (2) provided on the vehicle (1), using the pitching angle; and a rolling determination unit which, when the vehicle (1) starts traveling, determines whether or not there is rolling while the vehicle (1) is stationary. If, while the vehicle (1) is stationary, the pitching angle changes due to the loading and unloading of baggage or the change of occupants and it is determined by the rolling determination unit (11) that there is rolling, when the vehicle (1) starts traveling and the rolling is eliminated, the optical axis control unit (12) corrects the changed pitching angle, that is, the amount of change in pitching angle, using the amount of correction (θC) set for each rolling angle while the vehicle (1) is stationary, and controls the optical axis angle using the corrected pitching angle.
