Abstract:
The present invention accurately corrects optical black when pixel-mixing image data obtained from a pixel-sharing imaging element. Pixel mixing is performed for each set of identically colored pixels (G1 to G4, etc.) for each 3×3 pixel block (Br). The correction amount for optical-black correction of each obtained mixed pixel is determined by taking into account the correction amount for optical-black correction according to pixel-sharing position prior to pixel mixing. Optical-black correction is performed for the mixed pixels by using the determined correction amount.
