Abstract:

The present invention provides an optical characteristics measuring apparatus and an optical characteristics measuring method for determining predetermined optical characteristics, such as a color value or a total spectral emissivity coefficient, of a measured item. Prior to measuring the optical characteristics, a spectral intensity distribution of predetermined ambient light that is incident from a measurement opening is measured and stored. At the time of measuring the optical characteristics, the optical characteristics in the case where the measured ambient light is used as an observation light source are determined by using the stored spectral intensity distribution of the ambient light.
