Abstract:
This optical communication device is provided with: a laser diode that generates optical signals; a lens that outputs the optical signals to the outside; a thermistor that measures the temperature of the laser diode; a Peltier element that adjusts the temperature of the thermistor; a carrier having a protruding section; and a cover, which is provided with the lens, and which covers the carrier. The laser diode is disposed on one surface side of the protruding section of the carrier, and the thermistor is disposed on the other surface side of the protruding section of the carrier. The laser diode is disposed between the lens and the thermistor in the output direction, and the laser diode and the thermistor are disposed by being separated from each other in the output direction.
