Abstract:
This optical communication system (100) is characterized by being provided with a plurality of optical transmitters (1-1, 1-2), a plurality of first optical couplers (3-1, 3-2) provided in correspondence to each of the plurality of optical transmitters (1-1, 1-2), a plurality of optical receivers (2-1, 2-2), and a plurality of second optical couplers (4-1, 4-2) provided in correspondence to each of the plurality of optical receivers (2-1, 2-2), each of the plurality of first optical couplers (3-1, 3-2) causing an optical signal transmitted by the corresponding optical transmitter (1-1, 1-2) to be branched off and outputted to each of the plurality of second optical couplers (4-1, 4-2), each of the plurality of second optical couplers (4-1, 4-2) causing a plurality of optical signals outputted by the plurality of first optical couplers (3-1, 3-2) to be joined together and outputted to the corresponding optical receiver (2-1, 2-2), and the plurality of optical transmitters (1-1, 1-2) transmitting the optical signals in an alternating manner.
