Abstract:
In the present invention, an integrated control unit (24) determines the permissible communication band of an access network connected to a metro network, in accordance with the transmission capability with respect to optical transmission/reception in the metro network, a band request of the access network, and a network management policy; sets the communication band of each optical network unit (ONU) (210) such that the sum of the communication bands of the ONUs (210) communicating in the metro network is no greater than the communication band permitted for the metro network, in accordance with the permissible communication band determined for the access network; and controls the bands on an ONU-by-ONU basis by performing band-sharing between ONUs sharing the same wavelength.
