Abstract:
Disclosed are an optical communications-based authentication method and system. The method comprises: a remote monitoring server acquires user identity information of valid users, and sends the same to an intelligent access control entity; the intelligent access control entity receives a registration request of a user, and matches the same against the user identity information; if the matching succeeds, then the registration request is accepted; the intelligent access control entity prompts the user to input, by means of a mobile terminal, a first registration password comprising an optical signal, and a second registration password comprising a pressing-based password, wherein the second registration password is a number password or a pressing-based password of pressing a touch screen of the mobile terminal for a first number of times within a first predetermined duration and for a second number of times within a second predetermined duration, and the second registration password comprises a user password for acquiring an access grant and a police calling password for acquiring an access grant and calling the police; and when a user desires to acquire an access grant, the intelligent access control entity calls the police if a second registration password is authenticated as the police calling password. The present invention improves security and convenience for intelligent access control.
