Abstract:
Provided are: an optical component (1) made of a resin, said optical component (1) comprising a resin base material (2), a metal oxide-containing coating film (3) formed on the surface thereof and a linking molecular chain (4) linking the base material (2) and the coating film (3); and a method for manufacturing the same. The linking molecular chain (4) has a specific structure represented by formula 1. To manufacture the optical component (1) made of a resin, a surface treatment agent, said surface treatment agent comprising a linking molecule having a triazine ring in which an alkoxysilyl group or a silanol group is bonded to an azide group, is adhered to the resin base material (2) followed by ultraviolet irradiation. Next, the metal oxide-containing coating film (3) is formed on the surface to which the surface treatment agent adheres. In formula 1: A represents an arbitrary divalent linking group or a direct bond; and R1 represents hydrogen or a C1-6 alkyl group.
