Abstract:
The present invention is provided with an optical element (102) that is mounted on a substrate (101), and an optical coupling element (103) that is mounted on the substrate (101). The optical coupling element (103) is provided with a guide part (104) that extends in a direction parallel to the plane of the substrate (101) and that is used for securing an optical fiber. A mold resin layer (105) is provided that is formed on the substrate (101) in a state of covering the optical element (102) and exposing the side surface of the optical coupling element (103) at one end (106) of the guide part (104). The optical element (102) is provided with a light incidence/emission part (107) on the side surface perpendicular to the plane of the substrate (101), and the other end (108) of the guide part (104) and the light incidence/emission part (107) are disposed facing each other.
