Abstract:
The present invention relates to an optical transmission/reception connecting device comprising a cable having plug portions provided on both ends thereof, respectively, such that light can be relayed/transmitted and an interfacing module provided on an electronic device, the interfacing module having containing spaces into which the plug portions are removably inserted, the optical transmission/reception connecting device comprising: a cable provided with first and second relay optical paths; a receptacle unit having first and second internal optical terminals formed to be spaced from each other in order to transmit/receive light to/from the cable; an optical transmission unit; an optical reception unit; and a main optical transmission unit comprising a first main optical path formed between the optical transmission unit and the first internal optical terminal so as to transmit light, which is emitted from the optical transmission unit, through the first internal optical terminal and a second main optical path provided between the second internal optical terminal and the optical reception unit so as to transmit light, which has been received from the second internal optical terminal, to the optical reception unit, wherein the plug portions of the cable have upper and lower portions, with reference to the center portion, formed to be symmetric with each other such that insertion and optical transmission are possible regardless of the direction of insertion, and the cable or the receptacle unit is formed to be able to branch or switch the path of propagation of light such that the optical transmission unit can transmit light and the optical reception unit can receive light.
