Abstract:
A method of simply making an optical connection of a photonic crystal fiber with another optical fiber without processing the photonic crystal fiber itself and requiring a precision adjustment, which connection method being applicable regardless of the internal structure of the photonic crystal fiber and high in general versatility. Specifically, a method of connecting a photonic crystal fiber with another optical fiber comprising the steps of allowing a signal light or a pump light from the photonic crystal fiber and a pump light or a signal light from another optical fiber to respectively enter different end faces of a photorefractive crystal to thereby produce diffraction grating, and forming a double phase conjugate mirror.
