Abstract:
An optical connection part 1 includes: an optical fiber 10 that has a bent section BA; and a fiber fixing part 20. The optical fiber 10 is provided with a glass fiber 11 and a resin coating 12, and the resin coating is removed at one end thereof, thus exposing the glass fiber. The fiber fixing part 20 includes an optical array member 24 that supports an end section of the glass fiber 11 and a protective resin 23 that covers the optical fiber. A distal end of the glass fiber 11 and an end surface of the optical array member 24 form a reference surface S. The bent section BA is formed in the region where the glass fiber 11 is exposed and is covered with the protective resin 23. At the opposite side of the bent section BA from the end section of the optical fiber 10 that is supported by the fiber fixing part 20, a predetermined section in a region C that continues from the bent section BA is inclined so as to be closer to the reference surface S as the distance from the bent section BA increases.
