Abstract:

The present invention is capable of preventing laser hazards, which are caused when the optical connector is not connected, with a simple structure. The optical connector is provided with a tubular connector jacket, and a block incorporated at one end of the connector jacket with a light emission part or a light incident part mounted thereon facing the other end of the connector jacket. The light emission part or the light incident part is mounted on the block so that the optical axis inclines relative to the longitudinal direction of the connector jacket. For example, the connector jacket is long enough to allow at least a part of the light emitted from the light emission part to be incident onto the inner wall thereof.
