Abstract:
An optical connector ferrule (2) comprises a front end part (10) and a flange part (21). Side surfaces (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d) of the front end part (10) are connected to a front end surface (11) of the front end part (10) and extend in a direction (X) that intersects the front end surface (11). The flange part (21) is connected to the front end part (10) on the opposite side from the front end surface (11) and protrudes from the front end part (10) in directions (Y, Z) that run along the front end surface (11). An optical fiber hole (14) opens at the front end surface (11) and extends in the intersecting direction (X) that intersects the front end surface (11). A window (15) opens at side surface (12a). The shortest distance between a connection position (P) at which the flange part (21) and the front end part (10) are connected to each other and a portion (15a) of the edge (15a, 15b, 15c, 15d) of the window (15) that is closest to the front end surface (11) is equal to or shorter than the width of the flange part (21) in the intersecting direction (X).
