Abstract:
This optical connector is provided with: an insertion opening part 3b through which an optical fiber 4 is to be inserted; a coupling opening part 3a for positioning the leading end of the optical fiber inserted through the insertion opening part at a desired laser beam coupling position; and a guide part 2a for guiding the optical fiber inserted through the insertion opening part to the coupling opening part. The insertion opening part is disposed away from the optical axis of a laser beam to be coupled, and the position difference of the insertion opening part from the coupling opening part is equal to or greater than a prescribed value.
