Abstract:
Provided is an optical connector with a simple structure capable of detecting returning light. An optical connector 30 is provided with: a casing 31 in which a light propagation space S is formed; a glass block 32 that is disposed at an end of the casing 31; an output light fiber 15 that is connected to the glass block 32 from the outside of the casing 31 through the light propagation space S; and a returning light fiber 17 that extends from the inside of the light propagation space S to the outside of the casing 31. The output light fiber 15 includes a core 51 through which an output laser beam L is propagated. The returning light fiber 17 includes a core 61 to which light propagated through the light propagation space S can be coupled.
