Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a multi-core optical connector that facilitates removal and cleaning.
[Solution] A first housing includes a plurality of first internal housings with each storing each of a plurality of first ferrules, and a first external housing capable of releasing a lock on the plurality of first internal housings. The plurality of first internal housings is locked on the first external housing at a common initial position. When the plurality of first internal housings is fitted to a second housing, the lock between the first internal housings and the first external housing at the initial position is released; the first internal housings are locked to the first external housing at a fitting position different from the initial position; the plurality of first internal housings fits to the second housing gradually at mutually different fitting positions; and the lock between the first internal housings and the first external housing fitting to each other at the fitting position is released.
