Abstract:
The present application provides an optical cross-connect architecture and a communication device. The optical cross-connect architecture may comprise at least one front plugboard and at least one rear plugboard; each front plugboard and any rear plugboard are orthogonal to each other, and one side surface of each front plugboard is provided opposite to one side surface of any rear plugboard; the rear plugboards are all located on the same side of any front plugboard; and each front plugboard is pluggably connected to any rear plugboard. At least one front plugboard is provided with an optical signal distribution module; and/or at least one rear plugboard is provided with an optical signal distribution module. The optical cross-connect architecture in embodiments of the present application omits an optical backboard in the related art, reduces interconnection space between the front plugboard and the rear plugboard, facilitates the realization of the minimization design of an interconnection depth, and increases available space of the front plugboard and the rear plugboard.
