Abstract:
Provided are an optical device and a mobile imaging device capable of capturing an omnidirectional panoramic image in real-time without the need of processing using dedicated application software. The optical device includes: a first optical unit (5) that reduces fan-shaped image cells created by dividing an annular image based on a peripheral image into a plurality of radial image regions, and projects all of the subject images radially tilted in each fan-shaped image cell upright in a predetermined one direction; a second optical unit (6) that converts the fan-shaped image cells projected by the first optical unit into rectangular image cells and projects the rectangular image cells; and a third optical unit (7) that projects a plurality of rectangular image cells onto a prescribed projection plane in a two dimensional arrangement.
