Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are an optical device and an optical module for optical communication. The optical device comprises a tubular housing, a light window formed in one side of the tubular housing, a hermetic packaging box arranged in the tubular housing, and an optical path acting assembly. The tubular housing forms a non-hermetic packaging body; the hermetic packaging box comprises a base, a light passing cover that defines a hermetic packaging cavity together with the base, and a photoelectric chip mounted in the hermetic packaging cavity; optical signals received and sent by the photoelectric chip enter and exit the hermetic packaging cavity through the light passing cover; the light passing cover hermetically packages the base so as to achieve the hermetic packaging of the hermetic packaging cavity; and the light path acting assembly processes and adjusts the light entering and exiting the tubular housing from the light window or entering and exiting the hermetic packaging cavity from the light passing cover. Compared with a common packaging structure, the present invention not only features low difficulty in hermetic packaging and low cost, but also is easy to achieve and can meet the application requirement of the optical module for a high rate.
