Abstract:
These optical device (1) and wearable image display device are provided with a light guiding plate (2), a plurality of half mirrors (3), and an incident angle adjustment member (4). The light guiding plate (2) is an optical member that guides video light (L). The half mirror (3) is an optical member that causes the video light L to be incident as a virtual image on a person's eye (E∙P) and be displayed as a display image (5), and has a reflection characteristic that a part of the video light (L) is reflected by a back surface (31) thereof. The incident angle adjustment member (4) is an optical member that adjusts the incident angle of the video light (L) according to the reflection characteristic of the half mirror (3) to form video light that does not satisfy a total reflection condition in another part of the video light (L), thereby balancing the brightness of the display image (5). Consequently, the present invention makes it possible to easily balance brightness between right and left parts of the display image (5).
