Abstract:
Provided is an optical device which has a simple configuration and realizes sufficient contrast or visibility. The optical device has a light guide layer, a first optical function layer provided on a first main surface of the light guide layer, a second optical function layer provided on a second main surface of the light guide layer opposite the first main surface, and an optical medium layer provided on the surface of the second optical function layer which is opposite the light guide layer. Furthermore, the refractive index of the first optical function layer is lower than the refractive index of the light guide layer.
