Abstract:
An optical disc exhibiting high mass-producibility and being excellent in optical characteristics, mechanical accuracy and mechanical strengths; and a process for producing the disc simply and efficiently. This disc is constituted of a base (101) produced by fabricating an extruded sheet made from a material comprising a polyolefinic polymer as the main component into a disc-like shape, and a photo-setting resin layer (102) formed on the base (101), the surface of the layer (102) being jagged according to predetermined information to form an information-recording surface.
