Abstract:
An optical disc, which has a protective film formed by polymerizing a light-curable silicone resin having a siloxane skeleton; an optical disc, which has a protective film formed by polymerizing a light-curable silicone resin containing a structure of a heat-resistant group skeleton; an optical disc, which is manufactured by a process comprising applying a fluid for application, irradiating the applied fluid with a light to form a protective film, and thereafter, subjecting the protective film to an annealing treatment; and an optical disc, characterized in that it has a protective film formed by polymerizing a light-curable silicone resin by the use of a sensitizer and a reaction catalyst. The above optical discs can satisfactorily inhibit the deformation (warping) associated with temperature change or humidity change and are excellent in mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and the like, and further can be manufactured at a low cost with ease and simplicity.
