Abstract:
Proposed are an optical disk recording method capable of preventing a recording quality from being degraded by a thermal interference to occur at the time of performing an aberration correction, and an optical disk recording/reproducing device to be used in the recording method. The optical disk recording method comprises the step of performing a test record by changing the spot diameter of a recording laser beam in the output calibration region of an optical disk (150), thereby to deduce the relations between the spot diameter and the characteristic value indicating the recording quality, the step of deriving the allowable range of the change of the spot diameter from the derived relations between the spot diameter and the characteristic value indicating the recording quality, the step of detecting a spherical aberration while recording by irradiating the recording region of the optical disk (150) with a recording laser beam, and the step of performing an aberration correction, in case the spherical aberration occurs, so that the change of the spot diameter may be confined in the allowable range derived.
