Abstract:
An optical element holder (51) comprises a holder (62) which has a seat face (63) for holding the flange (60a) of a lens (60) and a clamping member (64), and a frame body (61) connected to a lens barrel (37). The holder holds the lens in such a way that its optical axis (AX') is horizontal. The holder is so arranged that a plane (P1) extending perpendicularly to the optical axis of the lens and including the holding position can almost pass the center-of-gravity position (Gc) of the lens. This arrangement makes it possible to hold the lens stably with moments suppressed, to suppress the deformation of the optical plane of the lens,, and to keep optical performances favorable.
