Abstract:
Provided are an optical element and an LED illumination device using the optical element capable of achieving high-accuracy positioning for a high-powered LED light source.
A positioning part (OEd) is formed integrally with an incident surface (OEc) on the bottom surface (OEa) of an optical element (OE). The positioning part (OEd) comes into contact with at least two portions of a support part (Lc) in the periphery of a light emitting part (Lb) of an LED light source (L) when viewed in a cross-section in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis, and thereby allows for positioning between the optical element (OE) and the LED light source (L) in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis.
