Abstract:
In order to reduce the restriction on a molding condition when an optical element material is heated while floated in gas and the heated optical element material is supplied to a molding die in an optical element manufacturing method and manufacturing device, an optical element manufacturing method comprises: a heating step for heating an optical element material (200) while floating the optical element material in gas; a supply step for supplying the heated optical element material (200) in a noncontact state to an inter-mold space (S) that is a space between a first molding die (movable die (21)) and a second molding die (fixed die (31)) from a direction (trajectory (T)) crossing a central axis (A) connecting the centers of the first molding die (movable die (21)) and the second molding die (fixed die (31)); a pressurization step for pressurizing the optical element material (200) supplied to the inter-mold space (S) by the first molding die (movable die (21)) and the second molding die (fixed die (31)); and a step for cooling the pressurized optical element material (200).
