Abstract:
Provided are: an optical element that is easy to produce and guides light, without waste, to a wide forward area; and an optical system device using same. The optical element controls the distribution of, and emits, light that is incident from a prescribed position 30 and comprises: a refraction-use section 1 comprising a first incident surface 11 capable of transmitting light from the prescribed position 30 and a first emission surface 19 that emits, in a prescribed light distribution direction, light that has been transmitted through the first incident surface 11; and a reflection-use section 2 comprising a plurality of convex structures and a second emission surface 29, said convex structures comprising a second incident surface 21 capable of transmitting light from the prescribed position 30 and a reflective surface 25 that reflects, in a prescribed direction, light that has been transmitted through the second incident surface 21, and said second emission surface emitting, in a prescribed light distribution direction, light reflected by the reflective surface 25.
