Abstract:
An optical elements, wherein the transmissivity of visible light is reduced from a center portion towards a peripheral portion. Provided is an optical element having the following: a visible light absorbing section that is formed from a material which absorbs some or all of visible light, and the thickness of the visible light absorbing section increases from a center portion towards a peripheral portion; and a visible light transmitting section that is stacked on the visible light absorbing section and is formed from a material which transmits visible light. The abovementioned problem is solved by providing the optical element which is characterized in that in a case where the transmissivity of light having a wavelength of 420nm is T420, the transmissivity of light having a wavelength of 360nm is T360, and the average transmissivity of light having a wavelength from 400nm to 700nm is Tave, T420/T360≥3 in a region where Tave≥50%.
