Abstract:
Disclosed is an optical fiber adapter (10). The optical fiber adapter (10) comprises: a housing (1), provided with, at a front portion thereof, at least two accommodating chambers (19) disposed in parallel, extending from one end through to the other end and enclosed in a circular direction, and provided with, at a rear portion thereof, a mounting base (14). Further, at least two optical fiber patch plugs (2), wherein each of the optical fiber patch plugs (2) comprises a positioning member (21), a ferrule (22) fixed to the positioning member (21) and extending forwards therefrom, an optical fiber (23) exposed from a front end of the ferrule (22), a sleeve (24) fittingly disposed on an outer periphery of the ferrule (22), and a positioning tube (25) further disposed on an outer periphery of the sleeve (24), wherein a front end of the positioning tube (25) extends into the accommodating chamber (19), a rear end of the positioning tube (25) is fixed to the positioning member (21), and an outer periphery of the positioning member (21) is provided with a first flange (211). Further, at least one fixed cap (3) fastened above the mounting base (14) of the housing (1), wherein the fixed cap (3) is combined with the mounting base (14) to form a first engagement recess (4), the first engagement recess (4) correspondingly accommodating and limiting the first flange (211) of the optical fiber patch plug (2). The optical fiber adapter (10) of the present invention can reduce the longitudinal dimensions of the rear portion of an optical fiber adapter, thereby reducing internal space occupied within a computer case.
