Abstract:
An optical fiber amplifier. By means of using two gain optical fibers having different absorption coefficients as an amplification stage of an optical fiber, damage to a device and the impact on the stability of a system, which are caused by ASE generated by the optical fiber, are avoided, and the utilization efficiency of pump light is also improved. Moreover, the originally required two-stage amplification is reduced to one-stage amplification, such that requirements for a time sequence can be effectively reduced, improvements in the stability and performance of a laser can be both taken into consideration, and the manufacturing cost of the laser can also be reduced.
