Abstract:
The present invention provides an optical fiber holding structure that improves efficiency when connecting an optical fiber. An optical fiber holding structure 50 includes a fixed part 70 secured to a substrate 10 of a junction box 1, and a holding part 80 pivotally supported on the fixed part 70 to rotate from a pre-rotation state having a first angle relative to the substrate 10 to a post-rotation state having a second angle relative to the substrate 10. The holding part 80 is provided with a cylindrical surface 84A that moves a pre-connection optical fiber 13A extending relatively close to the substrate 10 in the Z direction which is perpendicular to the substrate 10 to a position relatively far from the substrate 10 in the Z direction to thus hold the pre-connection optical fiber 13A in a state where the pre-connection optical fiber 13A is suspended in the +Z direction (closer to a worker). Here, the first angle allows the cylindrical surface 84A to move relatively close to the substrate 10 in the Z direction and the second angle allows the cylindrical surface 84A to move relatively far from the substrate 10 in the Z direction.
